Computing specialist of ArcelorMittal Tubarao competes in Finland
Are PCs and rackets compatible? For our colleague Cláudia de Oliveira Rios the answer is “yes!” Computing specialist at ArcelorMittal Tubarão, Cláudia is among the 12 tennis players representing Brazil in the Worker World Tennis Championship.
The competition, organised by the Work International Sports Confederation, is taking place in Finland from June 6 to 16. Cláudia won the place during the SESI Tennis National Tournament, which took place in Brazil in May.
Being the 2-time champion in the Brazil tournament (2007 and 2009), Cláudia was also the 2nd-place in the world championship in Denmark, in 2007. Before she travelled to Europe, Cláudia said: “We do not know exactly what we will face in Finland, but we do know about the competitors’ level of excellence. I expect to represent the Brazilian team in the tournament with a good performance, and, who knows, to bring good results.” She is champion in the category above 35 years.
Boa sorte (good luck) with your Finnish challenge, Cláudia!
