A superb mural for our Dunkirk plant
ArcelorMittal Dunkirk has received a beautiful facelift in the form of a mural, painted by a well-known husband and wife team of artists from the region.
Creating a mural is just one of the several actions which have been decided on by a committee dedicated to making the ArcelorMittal Dunkirk plant a more beautiful place in which to work.
The new mural covers a concrete wall of 150 meters long! It was painted by one of our colleagues, Joël Spinnewyn, and his wife, both of whom are well-known painters in the Dunkirk region.
Fittingly, the artists chose to paint workers and their facilities. The completed mural consists of steel panels, which as you can imagine posed a great challenge for the artists, who were used to working on other more usual supports such as wood. But challenges can lead to beautiful results and certainly did so in this case in Dunkirk. All in all, this is a very good way to enhance the image of the plant and to inspire the women and men who work hard there. Perhaps it’s the start of a trend?

Sincères félicitations aux deux artistes pour cette réalisation superbe qui restera malheureusement inaccessible au grand public.
Face à tant de talent nous ne pouvons dire qu’un seul mot : bravo.
