ArcelorMittal and Scania: a win-win relationship between the “King of the Road” and the global steel leader
Scania is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of truck and buses. Quality is a key factor for this company where truck cabs are being manufactured virtually in the same way as cars. Scania can therefore only rely on suppliers that can guarantee the highest quality standards possible. Quality being one of ArcelorMittal’s core values, both companies have been collaborating more and more closely.
To allow faster and more reliable deliveries, Scania is now supplied from ArcelorMittal’s production unit in Bremen to be closer to Sweden, where Scania operates. The two companies also work hand-in-hand for the development of new products and the implementation of new production systems.
Through this win-win relationship, ArcelorMittal provides one-third of the 90,000 tons of hot rolled, cold rolled and galvanised steel used by Scania annually.
