Lectures, debates and a show mobilised 56 participants who attended the Coordinators’ Meeting on CR (Corporate Responsibility). Held on April 9 and 10 in the historic Central Minas Gerais city of Caeté, the event was attended by regional coordinators of social programmes and projects developed in ArcelorMittal Long Steels and by Fundação ArcelorMittal Brasil’s team.

On Day 1, professor and consultant Antônio Carlos Gomes da Costa lectured on ‘Company, Ethics and Social Responsibility’. The focus of Day 2 was the importance of community relations for business, with a lecture by Industrial Steelmaking Director Gerson Alves Menezes.

Our Foundation’s activities were outlined by Project Manager João Bosco Reis da Silva. Two managers (Fundação’s Culture, Social Promotion and Education, and Financial Administration) submitted the outcomes of 2007’s programmes and projects as well as the 2008 planning. A great closing to the event was when the Arena de Tolos stage troupe put on a show dealing with the CR theme.

More than to improve the knowledge of the participants, this meeting contributes to sensetize the team for the 2008 programs and to stimulate to change of experiences that will be of extreme importance for the units of the ArcelorMittal Brazil.
