Boris Donnay, Head of Metallurgy, Lucien Weber | Head of Technical Advisory Claude Thill, Sales Mill Business Long Products, relaxing after the viewing Yesterday, on March 10, everyone from the ArcelorMittal headquarters team in Luxembourg gathered together to mark the unveiling of the latest Web TV episode called ‘Freedom Beams’. Despite rotten weather, Member of the Group Management Board Gonzalo Urquijo was on hand to officially present Season II to the crowd before everyone broke for refreshments. Boris Donnay who features in the episode was also present, which created a real link to the episode!

Gonzalo made interesting comment that we tend to think about R&D only in terms of flat products. The ‘Freedom Beams’ however are long products, which shows that our R&D runs across all segments! Another interesting fact which a lot of us didn’t know is that once this “hole in the skyline” in New York is filled up, the building will reach 1776 feet tall. Why exactly this height? Because it represents the year of US independence, which is a really nice (and patriotic) touch!

Simultaneous events will take place in London and Chicago, and later this week there will also be a public viewing in Paris, underlining again that the Web TV is a great tool to learn what the others in the company are doing and also what is happening in our industry. We are looking forward to more of these interesting insights!
