It was the first time I was involved in a Health and Safety Day and I could not believe how much work goes into the planning, both at a centralised level and then at a local level. It is pretty amazing if you imagine that this is an event that is simultaneously organised across more than 60 countries and in so many languages. Finally, after all the last minute preparations (and there were many leading right up to almost the last minute) when the final day arrived I was sick! And many people teased me about the irony of being sick on Health and Safety Day. I am so dissappointed to have missed it and would love to hear people's first hand accounts of how the day unfolded in their locations. Help me live this day vicariously through your activities! What commitments did everyone out there make and how will the events of March 6th 2008 help our Company to move take a step forward?
