OJSC ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih Health and Safety compliant
Open Joint Stock Company “ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih” in Ukraine has received the certificate of Health and Safety management system compliance to international standard OHSAS 18001:1999. OHSAS is one of the leading documents for industrial Health and Safety management systems of different companies all over the world. Congratulations to our Ukrainian colleagues!
The ArcelorMittal site is the only company in the Ukraine which got such a certificate. Mr Hazebruk of the TNO Certification Institute Director for Central and Eastern Europe said that this certification according to OHSAS standards was a very circumspect policy step, that all the staff would benefit from it and that it would raise the competitive power of the company in the world market.
OJSC ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih CEO, Mr Jouet, said that he was very proud of the fact that they proved the compliance of their Health and Safety management system by international standards, adding that this was the result of activities of their big team. He also said that the certificate was not the end but just the beginning and they now had to make sure that they can keep it and improve furthermore.
