The last stop of the HR Proximity meeting in 2007 was Mexico, where Bernard Fontana, Member of the Management Committee, Responsible for Human Resources, visited Lazaro Cardenas.

Mr Bernard was accompanied by the General Director of ArcelorMittal, P.S. Venkataramanan, and Human Resources Director, Virgilio Camacho, who offered a tour of the facilities.

During his visit, Bernard Fontana talked about the priorities for Human Resources in every ArcelorMittal plant of the world and stated that for him it was very important to come to Mexico and meet young people and leaders who were ready to grow worldwide. He also said that it was very important to meet people on the shop floor, see the facilities where they work and understand their expectations and aspirations.
