Corporate Social Responsibility for ArcelorMittal Timóteo, Brazil, means not only improving the qualifications of its own work force, but also investing in a junior company programme for high school students to better the quality of life for the people in the surrounding area.

25 high school students were able to join an entrepreneurship project named “Junior Achievement”, sponsored by ArcelorMittal Timóteo, where the young men learned how to create, structure, run and even shut down a company. Volunteer employees of ArcelorMittal Timóteo from several different areas acted as instructors.

Junior Achievement is a non profit institution which operates in 112 countries to offer youngsters a practical experience in business, the most important aspect of the programme being that it reaches and integrates all the community, including parents, schools and volunteers.
