A show of diversity, colour, dance and music… a celebration of life. The Christmas Concert 2007 under the motto “We are part of one whole”, organised by ArcelorMittal in Vitória, Brazil, took place on December 15 on Camburi Beach. More than 30,000 people applauded the show. The aim of the show was to raise awareness for the need to respect diversity and integration.

The concert paid tribute to various forms of expression: from the sets to the choreography, from the music to the supporting cast. The four symbols of life on the planet represented the continents: Light for Asia and the Pacific; Sound of the Drums for Africa; Wheat for Europe and Waters for America.

During the performance, singer Fafá de Belém said: “If man cannot understand the moment he is living, in which the natural resources are being exhausted, and fail to take the initiative to change the situation, then he is not worthy of living on the planet”.

Entire families from all social groups supported the event which was organised already for the 14th time by ArcelorMittal in partnership with Vitória City Government and the Government of the State of Espírito Santo.
