ArcelorMittal announced on November 17 that it has signed agreements with the four leading editors of programs used by building and construction professionals: Nemetschek AG (Germany) and its subsidiary SCIA (Belgium), Tekla Corporation (Finland), Graitec (France) and Robobat (France). These partnerships, the first of their kind, will further promote the use of ArcelorMittal products and solutions by the construction industry.

The agreements to include ArcelorMittal pre-design software in their products were negotiated and signed by ArcelorMittal’s Building and Construction Support, a global marketing platform of ArcelorMittal’s Steel Solutions and services, and the Research Center of its Long Carbon Europe division.

The technologies involved will offer millions of architects and engineers over the world in-depth knowledge of both standard and niche products with respective solutions designed by ArcelorMittal, and will grant access to ArcelorMittal software modules for the modelling, designing and detailing of structures. ArcelorMittal expects these agreements to increase the use of steel in construction and generate added value for the whole steel branch.
