HR Leadership Journey – Roadshow in Luxembourg
Bernard Fontana continues his extended tour of ArcelorMittal plants around the world with whirlwind visits at an important stop on the way, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
ArcelorMittal is the number 1 employer in Luxembourg with more than 10 different sites in the country: Long Carbon Europe, Wire Solutions, Flat Carbon Europe, Paul Wurth, Circuit Foil and the Corporate Centres.
Bernard Fontana, EVP Human Resources, organised 3 information sessions in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. In Esch-Belval, he met members of the local ArcelorMittal community. During the session in the morning, CEOs and HR members from Long Carbon Europe gave an impressive overview of the activities in the country. The industrial sector, initially dominated by steel, has become increasingly diversified.
There are three main areas of activity requiring actions. These include finding new ways to attract young new recruits, dealing with absenteeism and adapting to demographic changes.
