ArcelorMittal winners at the IRCA Banquet

On October 12, ArcelorMittal won numerous awards at the International Register of Certified Auditors (IRCA) banquet.
Established in 1984, IRCA is the world’s oldest and most respected auditor certification body. The worldwide organisation uses competent auditors to carry out effective audits with increased efficiency, competitiveness and credibility, in over 120 countries worldwide.
Category 10 and 11 are for all companies within the Iron and Steel Industry, inclusive of Health and Safety, Environment and Quality Management Systems. This is the highest accolades that an organisation can achieve on the CAP.
Among other awards, ArcelorMittal South Africa Vanderbijlpark, Newcastle and Vereeniging achieved the best scores in the categories “Quality Management System (IDRS)” and “Health and Safety management system (IDRS)”. ArcelorMittal Ostrava (Czech Republic) and Galati S.A. (Romania) scored best in the categories “Health and Safety management system (IRS)” and had the overall best score on the IRCA rating system. In category 11, ArcelorMittal South Africa Pipes and Tubes was the clear winner.
