ArcelorMittal Ostrava wins highest international rating for safety at work (Czech Republic)

ArcelorMittal Ostrava has won the highest possible appreciation for their work safety management and employees’ health protection from international auditors. The company was awarded 5 stars out of 5 with a total rating of 92%. “This is the first time I have experienced a company being awarded such high rating. ArcelorMittal Ostrava is the world’s top,” Louis van Niekerk, the IRCA Global Divisional Manager, said.

Audit by IRCA Global proceeded in all ArcelorMittal Ostrava plants. This internationally acknowledged auditing company makes audits of work safety management systems but also of quality and environment all over the world.

Work safety and health protection have been one of ArcelorMittal Ostrava’s main priorities for the third year now. The aim is to permanently increase the overall level of work safety and health protection. The goal is to gradually get as close as possible to zero accidents. ArcelorMittal Ostrava also makes use of experiences of other companies within ArcelorMittal group.
