On September 3, 2007 energy experts of the ArcelorMittal Group gathered in Dunkerque, France, for a three-day seminar. The aim was to define best practices to be implemented promptly, with special emphasis on two areas: steelplant gas recovery and blast furnace energy recovery turbines.

After a presentation of the specific issues at Dunkerque in terms of energy, the attendees could observe the two processes at first hand.

These productive exchanges demonstrate how everyone can contribute to the collective progress of the Group.

The meeting was also an opportunity to raise awareness of the worldwide dimension of the Group, as among the attendees there were colleagues from Canada, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, USA, Romania and Poland.
