ArcelorMittal Eisenhüttenstadt supports development projects in the region (Germany)
On September 5 2007 the plans for building Germany’s largest paper mill in Eisenhüttenstadt were presented. The decision to build the mill there results from the excellent cooperation with ArcelorMittal Eisenhüttenstadt, the flat carbon site. Synergies with the modern, fully integrated plant were the main reason for choosing the location.
The scope of the investment will be €630m. 150 direct as well as 500 indirect jobs will thus be created.
Progroup AG, ArcelorMittal Eisenhüttenstadt, Eisenhüttenstadt Town Council and regional service providers will cooperate in the areas of energy, transport-logistics, and education. The construction of the paper mill will commence in spring 2008.
ArcelorMittal Eisenhüttenstadt is a plant of ArcelorMittal Flat Carbon West Europe.
