ArcelorMittal Beach Volley Competition in Dunkerque (France)
ArcelorMittal Dunkerque thought of a very original way of presenting its new identity. On the first weekend in August, about 70 young fans of sport from Dunkerque as well as tourists competed all Saturday afternoon at the ArcelorMittal Beach Volley Competition. The crowd consisting of local people from Dunkerque and tourists admired their dynamism. 14 volley teams had already competed in July wearing ArcelorMittal colours. All around the field, flags and panels highlighted the presence of the group.
More than 4,500 people participated in the annual event “Tour avant le Tour“ (“Round before the race”), organized on July 8 before the start of the Tour de France and open to all cyclists. The race supported by the Dunkerque plant took place next to the beach. Orange caps with the new ArcelorMittal logo attracted the spectators’ attention. ArcelorMittal representatives organized a tombola, an opportunity to meet various people. In September, ArcelorMittal will continue its commitment to sport by being active at a local race, the “Boucles Dunkerquoises”.
