Acindar, the Long steel producer of ArcelorMittal in Argentina, led the fifth edition of the ranking of best building materials suppliers companies. This annual survey is organised by the Architecture supplement of the prestigious Argentinean newspaper Clarín.

The ranking’s main objective is to select the companies with the best image from each of the main sectors of the building industry, the winners demonstrating attributes such as honesty, protection of the environment, ethical management and innovation. In 2007, the ranking of the best materials suppliers was headed by Acindar, followed by the cement factory Loma Negra and the FV Group, which produces and commercialises sanitary taps.

According to Sergio Perez Jiménez, Acindar’s Marketing Manager, the key for leadership is to focus on the internal market, despite the high international prices that shot up in 2002, when Argentina was recovering from its economic crisis. In addition, the Customer Services’ Management was created in 2006. “The difference will be perceived through time. We are constantly working on our listening, understanding and communication skills,” explained Perez Jiménez. Congratulations to our Argentinean colleagues!
