Mr Mittal visits Dofasco (Canada)
On August 8 2007, Mr Mittal, ArcelorMittal President and CEO, visited Dofasco to address the Communications Group and briefly tour the company’s Steelmaking and Hot Mill facilities in Hamilton, Canada.
At Dofasco, where the official ArcelorMittal brand launch will occur later in the fall of 2007, Mr Mittal spoke about the company’s vision of “Transforming Tomorrow”.
Health and Safety having been a number one priority at ArcelorMittal from day one, Mr Mittal also commented on Dofasco Hamilton’s great Health and Safety performance. He said that Dofasco had set an excellent example that the Group needed to share with others and encouraged them to keep up the good work.
John Macnamara, General Manager, Health, Safety and Loss Prevention, said that their success was the result of everyone’s careful focus on planning their work and on using the best practices developed through their Journey to Zero initiative.
