ArcelorMittal is proud to launch its Environmental Policy on July 18, 2007. This is the first and important step towards honouring the global Group’s commitment to Sustainability – one of ArcelorMittal’s three brand values along with Quality and Leadership.

The Environmental Policy states the Group’s dedicated approach towards the environment through the definition of the 10 main principles that will guide ArcelorMittal practices worldwide. These principles, decided by the Group Management Board, are to govern all environmental aspects of the activities of ArcelorMittal.

Steel is the material of choice for environmental protection. Not only is steel environmentally friendly but it also outperforms other materials because it is readily recycled. Aiming for environmental excellence, ArcelorMittal’s 10 principles will be incorporated into all processing activities.
