As one story ends, watch another unfold… on ArcelorMittal Web TV
The most recent episode of ArcelorMittal Web TV, entitled “The End is the Beginning”, is online. This closes the door on the story of our integration, which has proven very successful. This “final” Web TV episode will mark the end of the first series. Thanks to the phenomenal response this communication channel has received, ArcelorMittal has decided to prepare a second series to begin in Autumn 2007.
ArcelorMittal Web TV was originally conceived as a way of communicating in as transparent a way as possible through our period of integration. The goal was to try to create an environment where hundreds of thousands of employees around the world could feel “at home” in this new company, share their opinions or concerns and stay informed.
The challenge of bringing two fundamentally different corporate cultures – not to mention many geographic cultures – together, was chronicled for all to see – employees, press and competitors alike.
Now that the “hard part” of the company’s integration has been completed and the brand has been successfully launched, this particular story has come to a close. Episode 15 focuses on reviewing the challenges the company has faced as it has tackled the period of integration.
But what is the new story now that we have launched our new brand, now that we have spelled out the culture we are trying to build? What are the new challenges we face as we try to achieve our ambition of being not only the most admired steel company, but one of the most admired companies in the world?
As with integration, this new phase in the development of our company is going to be followed by ArcelorMittal Web TV, in the same spirit of open communication.
