The 10th Biennial Automotive Symposium was hosted by ArcelorMittal Automotive Worldwide in Cannes on June 13 and 14. Staged on a global scale for the first time, the event attracted nearly 400 participants from the major OEMs and parts and equipment makers.

The theme for the symposium was “Together, we can move the planet: Opportunities & Challenges of Globalisation”. Almost 30 high-profile speakers from leading automotive and equipment manufacturers discussed topics relating to quality, safety, the environment and partnership.

On-the-spot interviews with participants demonstrated a very high level of satisfaction with the overall event organisation and the high quality of presentations. For many, it represented an important networking opportunity and a chance to compare their performance with that of competitors.

Last but not least, they were keen to learn about ArcelorMittal products in the pipeline and valued the exchange on future challenges – such as the mounting pressure for the reduction of CO2 emissions – facing the car and steel industries.
