ArcelorMittal announced on June 7 that Arvind Chopra, Vice President of Internal Assurance, is leaving the Company to join Price Waterhouse Coopers as a partner in London and will be replaced by Francis Lefèvre.

Mr. Chopra held this position – which is of paramount importance from a Corporate Governance, Compliance and internal control perspective – for over seven years. Like Mr. Chopra previously, Mr. Lefèvre will also be the Secretary to the Audit Committee.

“It has been an extremely exciting and enriching period I have spent at ArcelorMittal. I have truly enjoyed working in this both demanding and stimulating environment and would like to thank all my colleagues for their support,” said Arvind Chopra.

Aditya Mittal, CFO warmly thanked Arvind for the excellent job he has accomplished at ArcelorMittal. Francis Lefère, who now takes over responsibility, joined the steel industry in 1992 at the Liège (Belgium) works as an internal auditor and has held the position of Senior Vice President Business Risk Control since 2005.
