The Brand Launch
The day has finally come, the mystery has been revealed – the fruit of months of intensive work was presented to a thrilled public, arousing standing ovations: the new ArcelorMittal brand has come to life!
Faithful to their philosophy of staff member involvement on all levels, the new logo dynamically epitomizes ArcelorMittal’s core values – sustainability, quality and leadership, and above all a keen sense of responsibility for its people, the communities invested in and the world we all live in.
Happy with the progress of the integration, the new ArcelorMittal is now prepared to take their visions, bold ambitions and entrepreneurial spirit into the future in order to transform tomorrow for coming generations.

The logo is bright, stylish and represents youth & vigour. The colour also represents a rising sun and one hopes this new brand plays the same role in this world.

I love the smooth styling and integration of the A for Arcelor and the M for Mittal into the logo…fascinating, fresh and exciting. And if one looks they can see the D for Dofasco. I understand the colour maybe more like vermilion which gives you a feeling of sharpness, like glowing steel and can also represent marriage (which is symbolic of the marriage between Arcelor and Mittal). Using the colour red denotes power, divine energy, the sun and life and toning the red down with orange brings more warmth and lively communication. How apppropriate for a successful and universal union between Arcelor and Mittal. Congratulations on the new Brand and much continued success as you venture into this new global union.
In Gratitude,
Barbara Wilk-Ridge, Dofasco Inc.

Congratulations for the dynamism expressed by the logo itself and by the new trendy colour. The form of the logo represents for me : One person (Arcelor + Mittal = unity) preparing for the starting signal, getting ready to start the running competition and moving forward with great dynamism. By creating this new brand an important step in integration has been made. Proficiat !
Best regards,
Claudia, Belgium

I sincerely think you should have kept the spelling “Arcelor Mittal” (space between) for one reason only: the press. Since CamelCase is not normally accepted in formal written English, journalists will use many different alternative spellings, for instance: “Arcelor-Mittal, Arcelormittal, Arcelor Mittal or some ArcelorMittal”. This creates confusion and is not good for the brand!

To bring in two different giant companies together is pretty tough for any global leaders. Then to create ONE BRAND, replacing the past two strong brand is far more rare. As rare as Laxmi Mittal.

Hi Partho,
The creation of the new brand has been a challenging and exciting journey indeed! It was also about integrating many different cultures, not only those of Arcelor and Mittal, but also those of all the entities that integrated them, in many different countries. It’s nice to see that, wherever they are in the big and diverse ArcelorMittal world, our people share something unique: our brand
