At the inauguration of the Rawa Mazowiecka plant, Guy Amedro, head of Arcelor Mittal Construction, said that this fast positive move also involved the Polish neighbouring countries. Two new plants are currently starting in the Slovak Republic and in Romania, both evidence of the top priority given by the Group to the Central European markets.

Tomasz Lankow, General Manager of Arcelor Mittal Construction for Poland, pointed out the European dimension of the project, adding that today many innovative and global solutions could be provided to customers.

The aim to start a plant there was to share the development of the fast expanding polyurethane panel segment with leading technology, as well as offering optimised trapezoidal sheets adapted to local market requirements. Operational since last October, it also supplies surrounding countries in and outside the EU.
