On May 22 Arcelor Mittal Construction Poland celebrated the opening of its new plant located in Rawa Mazowiecka. More than 150 customers and officials attended this festive event, where the new polyurethane panel line using the latest technologies was presented.

Gonzalo Urquijo, member of the Arcelor Mittal Group Management Board, declared that this new Polish plant was another demonstration of the Group’s willingness to strengthen their position in the Polish construction steel business sector.

Located close to a centralized road network, the 12 M€ total investment also facilitates a new line covering a wide range of modernized profiles for roofing and claddings for non residential buildings.

Philippe Darmayan, head of Arcelor Mittal Steel Solutions & Services, pointed out the latest successful investment in the Steel Service Centre at Bytom and the new steel service centre in Krakow, adding that this new factory would strengthen the existing SSC network operations in Poland. He concluded that this fast and efficient implementation of such organic growth in Central & Eastern Europe, in particular in Poland, was facilitated by the successful integration of Arcelor Mittal.
