Arcelor’s Dunkerque site is a model of sustainable development in France.

Jacques Pélissard, the president of the Association des maires de France, visited the Arcelor Mittal site in Dunkerque (France) on the morning of 2 May. The objective of the visit was to identify good practices in terms of Sustainable Development. “Dunkerque is a showcase of Sustainable Development where actions to promote a reasonable development are real,” Pélissard stated.

At the Arcelor Mittal site Pélissard met with representatives of the Dalkia group, who explained one of Dunkerque’s technologies aimed at reducing dust and dispatching hot air into the town heating system.

The representative of French mayors was accompanied by member of the Assemblée nationale Michel Delebarre.
