Excellence in Management Price for ACB (Spain)

Aceria Compacta de Bizkaia (ACB) has received the World Class Manufacturing Association bronze medal in the first European version of the prizes awarded by this association that safeguards excellence in corporate management. The award ceremony was held at the Bilbao Guggenheim Museum in the presence of the Basque Minister for Industry, Ana Aguirre, and Michel Wurth, a member of the Arcelor Mittal Group Management Board and responsible for Flat Carbon Steel Europe.
Excellence in corporate management goes far beyond achieving excellent economic results. The award is given to companies that comply with the most demanding of criteria in all management areas. The diploma accrediting this is obtained after complying with a demanding process laid down by the World Class Manufacturing Association.
The international jury auditing ACB considered that the company had achieved a significant improvement on the level of equipment reliability and elimination of the causes of major quality problems, together with significant progress in the delivery period. Also taken into account when awarding this prize was that the entire ACB workforce had been involved in this improvement process. The emphasis on continuous improvement and the positive impact that these initiatives have had in the company were also assessed.
