King Juan Carlos of Spain toured Arcelor Mittal facilities in Luxembourg on 18 April together with Grand-Duc Henri of Luxembourg in the context of a state visit. He was welcomed by Joseph Kinsch, Arcelor Mittal Board of Directors, and by CEO and President Lakshmi Mittal. The visit generated a lot of interest among Arcelor Mittal employees.

During his welcoming words to the Spanish King, Mr Kinsch recalled that Arcelor Mittal employs some 13,000 people in Spain, adding that the Spanish staff had won recognition for their talent and dedication at all levels from plant operation to management. Afterwards the royal guests were shown around the new medium section mill, following with attention the explanations and observing the rolling process of several beams. They also had the opportunity to talk to employees of the site at the control cabin.
