Health & Safety Day
This is a new chapter in the Arcelor Mittal story; Health & Safety Day is a global initiative and the first tangible sign of the integration process.
The one day event took place at locations around the globe on the 6th March 2007. The campaign message ‘to fulfill an accident record of zero’. The journey had originally begun in 2003 and the downward trend in accidents is already apparent. Strong leadership is driving this Health & Safety process and there is constant assurance that Arcelor Mittal are putting their people before the job.
With these key messages, and the commitment shown by management, employees and sub-contractors alike this Arcelor Mittal campaign aims to achieve positive results. Health & Safety is the number one priority.

Excellent presentations and a most effective way of communicating company goals and priorities. This is most important with respect to the health and safety of all members of the Arcelor-Mittal Family. I was most impressed that Senior Management would travel globally to be present and on site for Health and Safety Day 2007.
Corporate responsibility is obviously also taken seriously. The establishmnet of the Foundation presents a wonderful opportunity for all members of the family to have a very positive and lasting impact on their respective communities. I look forward to future presentaions and to Dofasco’s future as a member of the Arcelor-Mittal global family.
